Medium temperature flares (MTF)
Medium temperature flares are designed mainly to burn biogas with methane concentration up to 70%. Because the combustion is concealed it is the optimal solution for installation in urbanized areas. Gas is burned through injectors that guarantee a homogeneous combustion arriving at temperatures up to 800° to 900° C, with a combustion efficiency up to 99%.
Its operation is completely automatic and its control system simple. The flare starts by pressure signal or start command from an external control system.
A burner control unit, which complies with EN 298 (Automatic burner control systems for burners and appliances burning gaseous or liquid fuels), is integrated in the system to assure that no gas is released to the atmosphere without being burned.
The standard model is provided with a slum shut valve, pressure switch, certified flame arrestor in the pipe line and flame supervision by UV sensor in compliance with EN 746 (Industrial thermoprocessing equipment- Part2: Safety requirements for combustion and fuel handling systems).
